A brief introduction about yourself
I am Mohammad ALSalaymeh a finance professional with over 15 years of experience in corporate banking, credit structuring, investment analysis, and risk management, at both Islamic and conventional banks. Currently serving as a corporate banker at a local UAE Bank. I hold the CFA Charter, CMA designation, and an MBA in Banking and Finance. My career has centered on supporting corporates in optimizing their financial structures and achieving sustainable growth and maintaining their relationships with the bank.
Your reasons for running for the Board
My decision to run for the Board stems from my commitment to the continued advancement of our professional community. I believe in the power of shared knowledge and collaborative growth. Serving on the Board would be an opportunity to give back to a community that has significantly shaped my professional journey.
What you hope to contribute to the Society
I aim to contribute by fostering stronger engagement between members within the society and across regions as well, promoting initiatives tailored to the evolving demands of our industry. I also hope to create mentorship programs that connect seasoned professionals with emerging talents, ensuring continuity and resilience within our field.
Any areas of focus or new initiatives you plan to champion if elected
My areas of focus will include:
- Enhancing access to professional development resources and member-led initiatives
- Strengthening advocacy initiatives, particularly by increasing the Society’s involvement with regulatory entities in the UAE
- Promoting wider recognition and adoption of the CFA Charter within the local financial and regulatory landscape
- Advocating for innovation, diversity, and inclusion within our Society
