Candidacy Statement Submission – CFA Society Emirates Board Election 2025
My name is Hussein Sayed. I bring over 20 years of experience in financial markets, having worked as a trader, research analyst, and wealth management advisor before transitioning into media. Today, I serve as a business anchor at CNBC Arabia, where I cover global markets and interview key decision-makers across finance, government, and industry.
I’m honored to be nominated for the Board of CFA Society Emirates. The CFA designation has played a pivotal role in my professional journey, and I believe it’s our collective responsibility to enhance its visibility, relevance, and reach across the region.
If elected, my focus will be on strengthening the Society’s presence in the public sphere — through media partnerships, strategic communications, and high-profile events. I hope to contribute by building relationships that open doors to both public and private sector engagement, while also creating more platforms to showcase the impact of our members.
My role in the media has given me access to influential networks and a deep understanding of how to tell compelling stories. I intend to use these tools to help the Society grow its influence, attract new talent, and reinforce the high standards our charter represents.
